Who from norton is heading over to the scrimmages with Sheldon Clark, SV, and Pikeville? I be there to watch my brother play for the Panthers. If you are there then he is #99. Just wanted to let you guys know. And for the players at Norton, I am not going against you guys. Just know you better bring it because Sheldon Clark and Pikeville are NO JOKE. Good luck to you guys on the season and the rest of the schools.

If SC, SV and Pikeville are the real deal it should be a gread scrimage. KY schools usaly start a week or so before Va schools so if Burton can make a good showing there should be no doubt that they are ready to pick up where they left off last season

I don't think they started earlier this year - I know the regular seasons start together, for a change.

Dane's a few miles off - maybe thinking about the old Virgie HS ??

Take 23 all the way (it's about 20 miles from Pound and past the Virgie turn-off). You'll go around a curve onto a looonnnggg straight stretch with nothing in sight but a mtn. on the left & a knob on the right (no buildings anywhere). Don't know if there's any flashing signal lights on your side (prob. not, since they don't have any on the Pikeville side), or they might be strung over the road. Only warning will prob. be a small sign with an arrow pointing right to the HS, but DON'T PANIC, because you don't need to take that road. Just go on up 1/4 mile, to the other side of THAT knob, and turn right. The field will be straight ahead, but downhill a little. You'll go uphill to the right for parking.

If you come to a construction/blasting area and a long, high bridge that curves left, you've gone about a mile too far.

Nearest place for grub is about 5 miles on up at Food City, with Long John's/A&W another mile up towards Pikeville (both are on the left).

You do not have to watch for State Troopers as much until you pass the Citgo in Dorton. From there is when you need to be alert, but by then you are not that far from SV. And if someone does get a ticket, I might be able to help out. My uncle works on the staff at Pikeville's State Department. I have gotten 2 friends out of tickets so I might be able to help one of you out as well. But im not telling you to fly haha. If you are coming, have a safe trip there and back. and to my norton friends, if I have on a pikeville shirt dont hate lol. Only reason is because of my brother. I want you all to beat them though so their heads shrink because they on cloud 9 right now due to their recent polls that came out!
